Nexus 5 press image Leaked!

Telus Nexus 5
Alleged Nexus 5 press images have shown up sporting a Telus-branded “splash screen,” suggesting the handset will be available from certain Canadian mobile operators once it’s official.
These images, published by MobileSyrup, look rather believable considering the recent Nexus 5 and Android 4.4 KitKat leaks we’ve seen, but that doesn’t mean they’re necessarily official, so take them with the proverbial grain of salt.
That said, we’ll notice that both the design of the handset, including button placement, front camera and speaker is consistent with what we’ve seen in previous leaks.

Furthermore, there are several visual elements that suggest the handset is running Android 4.4, at least according to a very recent leaked Nexus 5 photo session, which were confirmed by another publication when detailing Google’s rumored Google Experience launcher for KitKat:
  • transparent navigation and status bars
  • white notifications icons in the status bar
  • redesigned icon for the app drawer (transparent background and absence of the circle line)
  • redesigned icons dialer and camera apps
  • absence of the dividing line between the apps shortcuts and the rest of the screen (the line is replaced by dots for each home screen)
  • larger app icons on the home screen with suggest that only four icons would fit horizontally (the Nexus 5 is expected to offer a 5×4 icon grid).
With all that in mind we can only conclude that, if these images are indeed real and not an elaborate fabrication based on all those leaks, the new Nexus 5 is getting closer and closer.
